Brian K. Carriere:

Helping You Find Fair Solutions To Family Issues

About Brian K. Carriere

Immediately following high school, I enrolled with the Canadian Armed Forces, spending 20 years in the military, while also pursuing an education in nursing. After obtaining my Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Manitoba, I maintained positions as both a military and civilian nurse, helping individuals heal and recover from injuries and trauma. This continued after receiving my Master of Nursing degree from the University of Alberta.

Through my experience in service and nursing, I realized I wanted to do more to help people. I looked for a way that I could help different people from various spectrums, beyond just their physical injuries.

Carriere Law Office

I decided the best way to help people was to focus on helping families heal, recover, and navigate through the disruptive occurrences of family break-ups. I started Carriere Law Office in 2013 and have dedicated all of my time and efforts to helping clients move on with their lives after deciding to separate, divorce, or after experiencing other upheavals involving family law.

I do not like seeing one person take advantage of another person. This is why I always strive to find solutions that will satisfy both parties while protecting your interests, and keeping the best interests of the children in mind. My philosophy is to help clients arrive at their own solution rather than go to trial.

Access To Justice

I will help you understand the options you have to resolve your family law matters. I’ll inform you of your rights and entitlements, how to enforce them, and the correct process to protect them. However, if your requests are unreasonable, it’s possible a judge may also see it as unreasonable. I’ll also advise you on arrangements that may be designed to work best for you in the long term. If you and your partner can create the terms of your own settlement, you are more likely to abide by them.
